WMU's Suicide Prevention Program: A committed #LookBeyond advocate

WMU SPP Rauk.jpg

Congratulations to Western Michigan University’s Suicide Prevention Program for taking the pledge and advocating for students to openly share their stories of mental health challenges. #LookBeyond helped SPP’s Ingrid Rauk develop an exhibit at WMU’s College of Health and Human Services, called "I am a Student, a Survivor, a Voice: WMU Students Living with Mental Health Challenges Share Their Experiences of Stigma." Ingrid is a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology.

By sharing their stories, these students are helping encourage others to speak out and seek help. The exhibit can be viewed on the second floor of the College of HHS at 1200 Oakland Dr., Kalamazoo, MI 49008.

WMU’s Suicide Prevention Program offers opportunities to gain awareness about the prevalence and impact of suicide, and to learn how to prevent suicide. We’re glad to have the opportunity to partner with them. Thank you, Ingrid and WMU!
